There has been no change to the drilling pIans for HDD 360 on Devon Drive. The plan has always been to have drilling equipment at the starting and ending points, which does not require a permit modification nor additional geotechnical data. In fact, all 11 drills completed this year in Chester and Delaware Counties have had drilling equipment staged on both sides.
Using two drill rigs at the pilot phase will ultimately benefit neighboring landowners, as well as the environment. This practice allows us to better control mud pressures and reduce the potential for an inadvertent returns, all while shortening construction time, as it did for another HDD site in the vicinity. Additionally, the use of two rigs in this manner offers expanded opportunities for us to mitigate any water concerns or environmental impacts encountered during the drilling process.
