PA County’s Study Finds “No Great Risk” From Mariner East 2 Pipeline

Contrary to what opposition groups have been trying to say about the Mariner East 2 pipeline, an independent report paid for by the Delaware County Council found that there is “no great risk” from the pipeline, according to today’s article from the Delaware County Times…

FACT: Delaware County’s risk assessment conducted by Houston-based G-2 Integrated Services concluded that fatal traffic accidents, house fires or stair falls are a higher risk to the public every day than the Mariner East 2 pipeline.

According to the Delaware County Times, the 79-page report states that “a person is 20 times more like to die from a traffic accident or fall from stairs and 35 times more likely to die from a house fire than from an incident involving the Mariner East 2 pipeline 24 hours a day, seven days a week.”
