Responding to Rumors About Pipelines Exposed in a Creek

We’ve seen on social media that anti-pipeline activists are again spreading rumors about our pipelines in Chester County, PA. Let’s get the facts straight. We have plans to address the two pipelines in question, and we continue to monitor the area in coordination with PA PUC inspectors. One of the pipelines is an inactive section of the 8-inch Mariner East 1 pipeline that we capped and grouted in 2014.  We replaced this section of the line with new pipe that we buried below the creek bed, permitted by the PA DEP.  The other pipeline is an active refined products line that we plan to lower once the appropriate permits are approved.

The PA PUC was on-site with us again this week to inspect the area.
